The Greenwich Veterinary Center is looking for a Full-time or Part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team. We were founded in 1998 with the firm belief that pets are family members and deserve the very best in medical care. Full Job Description
In search of a positive, professional and experienced Veterinary Technician for a busy and fast growing veterinary practice that’s located in the heart of Greenwich.

Who are we looking for?
Applicants must have a strong work ethic, preserve a positive personality, capable of communicating effectively, be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast paced environment, have the ability to work in harmony with a team, possess a well-rounded technical skill set, and have a passion for delivering exceptional care to patients as well as clients. We expect professionalism, meticulous when performing any clinical work, dependent to their job and position, must be willing to cross-train, telephone and communication skills are necessary, and must be a team player willing to learn new and ongoing techniques, treatments, and change.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use veterinary software for documenting medical notes
  • Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
  • Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging
  • Perform anesthesia
  • Prep patients for and assist in surgery
  • Perform dental prophies
  • Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
  • Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
  • Communicate with and educate clients
  • Provide compassionate patient care

Job Type:

Pay:
$13.00 – $20.00 per hour
